Abstract
Far-right groups undermine democratic societies and seem to be particularly effective in online spaces. Previous reviews examined changes in constructing groups as far-right; however, we have no reviews that directly look at how far-right groups use online spaces to advance their political agendas. This review aimed to map the current breadth of how far-right groups exist in online spaces, specifically looking at key themes found in research questions being asked, methods employed, and the link between online and offline far right interaction. A systematic review approach was used, as well as thematic and content analysis to answer specific research questions. Several key themes were found in the questions asked by researchers, including those that look at internal dynamics and group strategies. Various methods were found to be used, though interestingly only a handful of studies look at the link between online and offline far-right interaction.
