Abstract

Friendly Invasions 2034 took the form of a large-scale durational artwork that arose out of multiple research trips to artconnexion, the commissioning art organisation in Lille, France, during its 20th anniversary. Research informed the process of publicly creating a vast, space filling sculptural assemblage of images, drawings and documents, which was photographically recorded to produce the final outcome: a small portable artefact in the form of a pocket book that represents the research process in a wholly visual way.
