Abstract
Description
Between 2017 and 2019, the GROW Observatory ran a series of online courses on the leading MOOC platform FutureLearn. The courses were designed to create a community of citizen scientists, scale up citizen science activities while maintaining robust scientific standards and provide free training to a global audience of learners interested in the following topics: citizen science, citizens’ observatories, citizen sensing and environmental monitoring, challenges and opportunities facing global food and farming systems, participatory governance, DiY sensing technology and open data. The table attached lists the courses and iterations that were run.
