Abstract

Exhibition dates: February 26 to June 12, 2022 Curator: Virginie Barré, artist in residence at Trouville-sur-Mer

Virginie Barré is stopping off at Trouville-sur-Mer for an artist residency and responds to the invitation of the Frac Normandie and the Villa museum Montebello to design an exhibition.
It is therefore surrounded by works that she offers a first encounter with the public at the Villa Montebello. Like potential characters in a story in progress, the works are set up in the villa itself, laden with history(s) and sketching out the beginnings of fiction as Virginie Barré knows how to construct them. With the works of Martine Aballéa, Scoli Acosta, Michel Aubry, Virginie Barré, Gabriele Basilico, Bevis Martin & Charlie Youle, Sarah Boris, Simon Boudvin, Geneviève Cadieux, Patrice Carré, Philippe Decrauzat, documentation céline duval, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Isabelle Ferreira, Piero Gilardi, Yvonne Guégan, Valentin Guillon, Jeppe Hein, Séverine Hubard, Véronique Joumard, Romain Lepage, Olivier Leroi, Liz Magor, Jean-Claude Mattrat, Mathieu Mercier, Shana Moulton, Ernesto Neto, Arnold Odermatt, Florence Paradeis, Mick Peter, Céline Poulain, Hugues Reip, Sophie Ristelhueber, Elsa Sahal, Zoé de Soumagnat, Laure Tiberghien, Sarah Tritz → Exhibition organized as part of the "Itinérances" and "Cultural rights" schemes carried out by the Frac Normandie with the support of the DRAC Normandie, the Normandy Region, the town of Trouville-sur-Mer and the company Les Cures Marines.
