The INTERTEXT series has been specifically designed to meet the needs of contemporary English Language Studies. This accessible textbook in the Routledge Intertext series offers students hands-on practical experience of textual analysis focused on language and technology. Written in a clear, user-friendly style, it combines practical activities with texts, accompanied by commentaries and suggestions for further study. Aimed at A-Level and beginning undergraduate students, Language and Technology: explores the history of new communication tools such as texting; Facebook and online forums examines the public discourses about these new tools incorporates real texts such as adverts, newspaper articles and chat room data includes a comprehensive glossary of terms.
