LIM(I)NAL

Alastair MacLennan: LIM(I)NAL (October-November 2020) was an evolving online exhibition conceived by Bodor in collaboration with media archivist Adam Lockhart to explore how to make the artist's drawing-as-performance work public as a living archive. This was the first curatorial project on amaclennan-archive.ac.uk, a website set up in 2019 - with funding from ART360 (A.Lockhart) - to accompany MacLennan’s newly acquisitioned physical performance art archive at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. This exhibition launched the new website as a curatorial platform and combined the digitization of the physical archival material with a new multi-modal research project, What is a Living Archive? Curating the Unruly Materiality of Contemporary Art - initiated by Bodor - to explore new approaches to interaction with time-based archives held in Dundee. The exhibition was accompanied by IN AND EASE, a colloquium curated by Bodor including a live drawing workshop with Alastair MacLennan and presentations of response works by artists Tania Kovats, Sandra Johnson and Roddy Hunter.
