Abstract
‘The Listener II’ Two sculptural follies commissioned for the LookAgain, Art and Design festival in Aberdeen. The design and construction of two temporary publicly sited follies (listening machines) that purported to hear, condense and play back the living history of the city. The audio content was gathered through a series of interviews, discussions and workshops. A connected parallel participatory project ran in schools and with the public where further audio content was gathered and elements of the final structures were development.
