Abstract
We are interested, here, in the criteria of the “crucial choice” set out in The Immanence of Truths between the ontology of consistent multiples and that of inconsistent multiples (between Gödel and Cohen). After having set out what seem to be the aporias of such a choice since Being and Event, we attempt to identify a possible answer to this question by turning to the notion of the Absolute as Badiou first thematizes it in The Immanence of Truths. This interpretation then leads us to hypothesize a possible “neoplatonic turn” in his philosophy.
