Abstract

The measurement of force magnitude and centre of pressure on a rowing seat can provide a proxy for athlete motion parameters such as pelvic motion and the magnitude and timing of asymmetries in spinal loading. This study aimed to design, implement, calibrate and use a force platform housed on the seat of a rowing ergometer.
