    Abstract

The invention relates to a method for dissolving metal nanoparticles in dielectric materials under the effect of a DC field. The invention also relates to a method for producing dielectric materials that contain glasses or other nanoparticles and that have modified color and polarization effect up to complete transparency while maintaining a level optical surface. According to said method, a dielectric material that has ion conductivity and that contains nanoparticles in its surface layer is subjected to a strong electrical field and at the same time to an increased temperature. The inventive material can be used as color-selective filter or polarizer.
