    Abstract

Glasses containing metallic nanoparticles are of particular interest in the field of optoelectronics due to their robust nature and the unique linear and non-linear optical properties. These properties are dominated by the Surface Plasmon Resonances (SPRs) of the metal inclusions and by manipulation of the characteristics of the metal the SPRs can be designed within a wide spectral range.
