Abstract

Sterling silver, 24ct gold leaf, steel pin.

This brooch has been created using a traditional Japanese metalwork technique called Nunome Zogan which uses very thin gold foils – it translates as cloth weave because of the chiselled silver ground which also connects to Dundee’s Jute past. Ultimately behind Sandra’s work is a concern with material sustainability.
