Abstract

This guide supports Postgraduate Researchers at the University of Dundee in providing step-by-step instructions on how to archive theses in the University’s institutional repository, the Discovery Research Portal, as well as guidance on completing the Thesis Deposit Agreement, and requesting an embargo and licensing your thesis appropriately.

It also provides guidance on copyright, potential issues around the inclusion of third-party copyrighted material in your thesis and how to obtain reuse permissions, as well as the inclusion of sensitive and confidential information in your thesis. Lastly, this guide provides guidance on ensuring that any research data generated as part of your thesis, and which underpins your thesis, is archived appropriately and recorded in Discovery.
