    Abstract

Our research aim in this interdisciplinary collaborative writing project is to provide encounters with process, affect and relationality. Through this paper we share how we have gone about stepping outside our comfort zones, to design workshop activities to help business management (BM) students prepare for an alternative kind of assessment. Utilising collaborative writing techniques and ongoing email, Skype and in-person conversation, we show the power of reflexivity and serious play to bring a polyvocal response to running with scissors, allowing vulnerability and unknowing to challenge our positions and show how we have learnt alongside the students we teach.
