Abstract
In 2019 Dundee Contemporary Arts turned 20 years old. Sarah Derrick, DCA Head of Learning, has seen children grow up with DCA learning experiences during her nearly twenty years in role. This interview charts the development of the Learning Programme at DCA over two decades from a sole focus on exhibitions and visual art practice to a wider approach to visual culture and ‘making’; from programming strategy to the changing needs and interests of visitors and local communities, and discusses future directions.
