Abstract
People experiencing Homelessness are more likely to suffer from poorer health and oral health outcomes in general. The research project ‘Mapping the aspects of oral health, health, and psychosocial needs of homeless people in Brazil. Capacity building for effective and inclusive health promotion practices’ worked with international partners to address global health inequalities of homeless people and to improve capacity building of professionals working with these groups, in Scotland and Brazil. The project aimed to engage with people experiencing homelessness, and health and social care practitioners who work with these groups in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Glasgow (Scotland) to explore their experiences, views and perceived challenges on service access and engagement.
