    Abstract

    Narratives can play an important role in human resource management, particularly in the culture and self-identity of teams. To to better illustrate this role, the narrative element of organizational discourse concerning high technology use at Reuters and Health Care International were examined. Narratives were seen to function as a management tool for explaining concepts pertaining to high technology. In addition, stories and storytelling also served to enhance communication among members of the team
