Abstract
Few models describe the growth of DCIS in duct spaces in three dimensions. It would be useful to understand the natural history of DCIS, its potential for progression to invasive carcinoma(IC, and whether the model can improve upon imaging studies to predict the size of a tumor from biopsy material prior to surgery.
