Abstract

The book systematizes eight projects working with violence prevention among youngsters in the three biggest cities in Brazil. The study has been supported by the Brazilian Government as part of wider government strategy to reduce violence among youngsters. The book has been distributed in schools and social organizations over the country and has facilitated debates on alternatives to tackle violence in Brazil. Although the publication is in Portuguese language, it is of wider interest in the field of violence prevention worldwide.
