Abstract
An overview is given of strategic issues in Scotland. Focus is on the River action plans, water pollution with regards to controlled activities and general binding rules, environmental liabilities and fish farms. As for River action plans, such plans for the Scotland River Basin District (RBD) and for the Solway and Tweed RBD are described.
