    Abstract

    In this survey the hormonal control of glycogen metabolism and synthesis of glycogen is given. The action of the enzymes phosphorylase, phosphorylase kinase, protein kinase, glycogen synthetase and phosphorylase phosphatase are described with the role of insulin and cyclic AMP.
