Abstract

At the end of each day of the workshop, discussion sessions were conducted with the aim of eliciting important comments about the current state of understanding in soil-foundation-structure interaction and indicating which developments are likely to be most beneficial. The first discussion session dealt with issues related to shallow foundations, while the second session was concerned with pile foundations.
