HOT POET FUTURES POEMS
FOR COP28
INSPIRED BY THE UNFCCC RESILIENCE FRONTIERS PATHWAYS TO A BETTER FUTURE
In collaboration with UNFCCC’s Resilience Frontiers, (a first-of-its-kind UN initiative with a remit to embolden the global mindset), Southbank Centre, the Gaia Foundation, Nature Friendly Farming Network, Gaia Foundation, 3M, LANDPROCESSES, Urban ReLeaf and University of Dundee, National Poetry Day, podcast ‘Outrage and Optimism’, Hot Poets International is aimed at elevating the role and impact of the Arts (specifically spoken word poetry) in the fight to save the planet.
Super Sleuths of the Streets is a new poem written by Liv Torc, Hot Poets International, part of a collaboration with Mel Woods, University of Dundee funded by Arts Council England. Woods worked with Torc to develop a poem that narrates a preferred future of empowered citizens, gathering heat, pollution and tree data to redesign 6 European cities, including the City of Dundee, and better cope with climate change. The poem builds on the Horizon Europe / UKRI Urban ReLeaf Project and citizen science experts.Release Date: 8th December 2023 / DAY 8 at COP28 UAE
