    Abstract

    This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:To determine the best surgical management of localised renal cell carcinoma.The following comparisons are pre-stated:1. Whether open radical nephrectomy is better than laparoscopicradical nephrectomy 2. Whether open radical nephrectomy is better than open partialnephrectomy 3. Whether open partial nephrectomy is better than laparoscopic partial nephrectomy 4. Whether open radical nephrectomy is better than minimally invasive techniques 5. Whether open partial nephrectomy is better than minimally invasive techniques 6. Whether laparoscopic radical nephrectomy is better than minimally invasive techniques
