Telephone Conversation, Siège social de PULITA, Gentilly: one year loan from the collection of the DAC

Research output: Non-textual form › Exhibition

    Abstract

My sculptures often take on a hybrid form. In Telephone Conversation, for example, I give an everyday object a human presence, merging a man’s body with a telephone. Evoking the spirit of cartoons, the red, dynamic figure looks as if it’s about to step off its black plinth. The rough, handmade quality of the surface contrasts with the sculpture’s soft, almost pliable appearance, highlighting my interest in material and the ways it can be pushed and transformed.
