Abstract
Preliminary results are presented from an airborne survey of a long sea outfall. Multispectral scanner data obtained from separate flights are discussed, and assessed favourably as diagnostic indicators of outfall performance. In particular, it is demonstrated that the processed data can be used to locate and count the individual sources of discharge within the effluent plume.
