    Abstract

A collaborative artist book project commissioned by Pamela Crowe of 23 Press, designed by Chaosmos Studio (Joseph Haigh and Helena Gregory).

If you could print a book, what would it be about?

This question is the start, middle, and unfinished ending of this book, a book of ideas for books.

In early 2022 a group of individuals in Leeds came together to explore book publishing. The idea was to find out how a book could become by learning about the various tasks and roles involved in running a Small Press. We met in person on Thursdays at Rainbow Junktion café at All Hallows’ Church on Regent Terrace, LS6. We also met online. We produced a call out across the city of Leeds inviting people to submit either 150 words of text or an image that conveyed an idea for a book and then we worked with designers Chaosmos Studio to create the book that you hold.

What happens to a book of book ideas?

We don’t know yet, that’s the next part of the story.
