    Abstract

    Traumatic spinal cord injury is a devastating disease with the potential for lasting effects on the patient, their families and caregivers, and the wider society. This article reviews the incidence, demographics, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment of spinal cord injury in adults.
