The significant role of responsible leadership in building resilient organization has become a subject of focus in leadership and organizational management literature. This study explores the concept of responsible leadership in building positive attitudes and behavior among employees and how responsible leadership drives innovation and business sustainability in emerging economies. It adopted a desk study approach in reviewing empirical studies on responsible leadership. The findings indicate that organizations must endeavor to build responsible leadership so that to nurture the social relationships between the organization and the employees, as well as, to create vision, value and innovation. This study assists practitioners to understand why organizations need to embrace responsible leadership and how this style can drive organizational innovation in rising economies.
