    Abstract

This country report assesses recent developments in Turkey’s renewable energy law and policy in light of the three competing dimensions of the Energy Trilemma - economics, politics and the environment. The analysis concludes that there is a need and room for the renewable energy sector to grow. Important issues to be followed in the future are the planned de-regulation of the electricity market in 2016 and the competition in the new energy stock exchange EPIAS.
