Abstract
The University of Dundee has been ranked 4th globally for Open Access research in the 2025 CWTS Leiden Rankings, placing 1st in Scotland and 2nd in the UK. Between 2019–2022, 93.1% of Dundee’s publications were made openly accessible, reflecting the University’s strong commitment to Open Research, Open Science, and knowledge equity. This recognition highlights Dundee’s success in scholarly publishing, global research visibility, and free access to academic outputs. Supported by the University Library and the Discovery Research Portal, Dundee ensures research benefits society, policymakers, and practitioners worldwide by promoting open access publishing and transparent knowledge dissemination.
