    Abstract

Croatian artist Vlasta Delimar’s works explore taboos in society marked by hostility against the naked body. For the exhibition we selected a series of individual artworks including performative photo-collages (such as Visual Orgasm), video documentation of a performance (such as Walkthrough as Lady Godiva), and a video performance (Male & Female). Delimar also proposed a re-performance of a more recent work she first presented at the festival DOPUST in Vienna, 2016. Standing in the window of the bookshop of nGbK with a sign ‘The Right to an Orgasm at over 60’, Delimar’s work re-presents her ongoing desire to develop a norm-free space within which artists can present and create work. This desire characterises Delimar’s whole body of performance work and provides continuity among her individual actions.
