    Abstract

Working Together for Languages is an evaluation report considering four collaborative language promotional initiatives, Business Brunches, Language linking Global Thinking, and Word Wizard. Running from 2014-2017, these initiatives were collaborative efforts to promote languages and language learning in schools. The report looks at the impact on learner attitudes and uptake in the upper secondary phase during the period.

The authors, Hannah Doughty and Marion Spöring alongside Bernadette Holmes, conducted interviews in a range of Scottish Schools. There are a number of recommendations that will assist policymakers as they continue to encourage and promote the value of languages and language learning.
