This file describes how to open and examine at the GROW soil datasets.

**GrowLocations.csv**
This file contains the names and locations of the sensors in the GROW datases. The file is 8.1Mb big so can be opened by any usual text editor

We recommend Atom for Windows, Mac and some Linux versions:

Alternatively Notepad++ can be used for windows:
https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

If you are using Linux, any of the usual editors should be ok, Vi,VIM or Emacs

**GrowTimeSeries.csv**
This file contains the time series data, soil moisture, temperature and light readings.   Data is linked to GrowLocations.csv via the serial number of the sensors.

This file is 14.4 GBytes big so is too big to open by normal editors.

To view the file:

On MAC and linux use the more command from a terminal:
more GrowTimeSeries.csv

On Windows open a cmd prompt and also use the more command
more GrowTimeSeries.csv
